A 40-year-old man was found dead in a lodging in Eastleigh, Nairobi.

Police said they were called to the scene and informed the body of one Mamo Odha was lying on the bed in the room on Monday evening.

The man had checked into the room on Sunday on Second Avenue before attendants discovered his body the following day.

The cause of the death is yet to be known.

Police who visited the scene said some tablets were found in a dustbin in the room but they are yet to ascertain their use.

No visible injuries were found on the body at the time of its discovery.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy to establish the cause of the death.

This will determine the next move in terms of the probe into the incident, police said.

Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei said they are yet to know the cause of the death.
