The nominee for the position of Central Bank Deputy Governor Susan Koech has told MPs that her net worth is Sh370 million.
Speaking on Tuesday at the National Assembly, she said her worth comprises liabilities worth Sh55 million and Sh425 million worth in asset forms.
"The sh370 million comprises assets worth Sh425 million and liabilities worth Sh55 million," Koech said.
The nominee also revealed that her wealth is from farming, rental businesses, construction hotel, running a hotel and shares from Safaricom as well as Co-operative Bank.
Koech was speaking before a joint sitting of the National Assembly's Departmental Committee on Finance and Economic Planning and the Senate's Standing Committee on Finance and Budget where she appeared for vetting.
Early this month, President William Ruto picked former Koech who is as the second female deputy governor of the Central Bank of Kenya.
She holds a doctorate in business administration from Moi University.
Koech was the Nairobi regional head at KCB Group before joining the government.
The hiring of the second deputy governor will correct a concern recurrently raised by the Auditor-General.
The law says the executive team at the CBK be composed of the governor and two deputies.
Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta ignored calls for the CBK to have two deputy governors during his term.
