A Chinese National who allegedly threatened to kill a Kenyan woman by threatening to cut her body into pieces and also cut off her neck has been charged in court.

LI JIANHAU was charged before Kibera senior principal magistrate Phillip Mutua but he denied the charges.

The court heard that the accused person committed the offence on January 25 in Jamhuri.

The court heard that the accused person threatened to harm Linda Bunyazi while she was at her house.

In court, the accused person denied the wrongdoings and the prosecution opposed his release on bail.

Court prosecutor Allan Mogere urged the court to release him only on bond on the ground that he was a flight risk.

The defence lawyers however told the court that the accused person was out on a police cash bail of Sh300,000 and was not in any way planning to abscond court.

They told the court the accused person has been in court severally but the file was not availed.

The magistrate directed that the accused person be detained until today (Thursday) for bond and cash bail application ruling.
