On Monday, Suna East MP and National Assembly minority leader Junet Mohamed became the subject of discussion on Twitter.

This followed a long silence after the August 2022 general election, in which he was blamed by several people within Azimio for Raila Odinga's loss to William Ruto.

However, on Monday, he took to Twitter to question how Kenyans can pay taxes to a 'company' that belongs to two individuals.

He was reacting to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's remarks on Saturday that the government will prioritise only those who supported their bid to get into office first.

Gachagua who was speaking in Kericho said it was laughable that some members of the opposition had started trooping to State House seeking government positions.

"This government is a shares company. It has the owners who have majority shares, those with minority shares and those that don't have any shares," Gachagua said in Kericho.

"You invested in this company owned by William Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua you must harvest. You invested and your time to harvest is now... Even they (the opposition) will harvest, but they have to wait for you to finish harvesting."

Kenyans on Twitter then reminded Junet that he uttered similar remarks when he was campaigning for Raila last year.
