Raila meets Azimio senators amid revolt

Opposition chief Raila Odinga will on Wednesday meet Azimio senators in Nairobi.

Raila will meet the legislators at the Panafric Hotel for a luncheon.

Senator Deputy Minority leader Enoch Wambua and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna confirmed the meeting.

In a press invite seen by the Star, ODM communications director Philip Etale confirmed the meeting.

"This is to inform you that the Hon. Raila Odinga will this afternoon at 1:00 pm have lunch with all Senators from the Azimio coalition. The luncheon will be held at Panafric Hotel. Thereafter, they will address the media on the outcome of their lunch meeting at 2:00 pm," reads the invite.

The meeting will likely seal the fate of the 'rebel' Jubilee senators who were part of the team that pledged their allegiance to President William Ruto.
