Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has honored his father's death anniversary, Moses Mudavadi.

Moses Mudavadi was a school inspector during colonial times in Kenya.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Mudavadi said the memory of his father still lives on through the impact he had on their lives.

"Years have passed since we lost our father. Despite the passage of time, his memory continues to live on through the impact he had on our lives and the love he shared with all of us," Musalia said.

"I'm grateful for the legacy my father left behind."

Musalia was reminiscent of the good moments his late father brought to the family and the world at large.

"On this anniversary of his passing, we honor his life and remember the joy, laughter, and wisdom he brought into our world," he said.

Mudavadi said he deeply cherishes the memories of the special moments shared with him.

He prayed that his father's spirit may continue to shine brightly, and that the love his father inspired in the family continues to endure.

"We miss him dearly, but are comforted knowing that he will always be a part of us," he said.

Moses Mudavadi died in 1989 and is remembered as an influential politician from Sabatia in Western Kenya  during late President Daniel Arap Moi era.

He was the first patron of the Maragoli Cultural Festival until his death at the age of 66.
