Pastor Gerald Johnson preaching.

A pastor who claims he suffered a heart attack in 2016, died, went to hell and came back to life claims hell is real and Satan torments people using music.

Gerald Johnson from Texas, USA said during his experience in hell, he saw the devil and had an encounter with Jesus who eventually told him to forgive people who wronged him if he never wants to experience hell again.

"I saw the real hell, I was there and I wouldn't wish that to my worst enemy. I don't care what the person has done to me, I would never wish that on them," he said in a five-minute video posted on TikTok.

In his narration, the pastor said after the heart attack, he knew he was destined for heaven given his good deeds to people, but instead, he went down to the underworld.

"I went literally to the centre of the earth and that's where hell is."

He said the things he saw while there were indescribable but what blew him away was him seeing a man walking on all fours like a dog.

The pastor said the man had been chained by the neck and whoever was holding the chain was Satan.

He said the man was eventually burned by the demon holding the chain in scenes he described seeing telepathically.

"Then there was another part that I experienced that just blew me away it still baffles me to this day. There is a section in hell where music was playing and it's the same music we hear on earth but as opposed to the entertainer singing it, the demons were singing it," he said.

The pastor warned that some of the music that people enjoy and sing along with their lyrics are actually inspired by demons.

He singled out Rihanna's Umbrella which Satan was using to torment people and Don’t Worry Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin.

"In a lot of music people actually smoke to get high, to get verses and to get bars, be fresh and to get fresh. When they open themselves up it's like illegal access to the spirit realm," Johnson said.

He said when artists do that, they come in contact with demons who give them lyrics for purpose of cajoling people on earth.

The pastor said the devil uses the controlling power of music to woo people and there those in hell primarily because of the type of music they listened to while on earth.

"Every song is to torment you as the fact that you didn't worship God when you were on the earth. So it's like you had a chance to worship Him in church and worship Him at home and worship Him through music but you chose to worship Satan by repeating the lyrics."

Johnson went on to say that he was mad with God for allowing him to go to hell despite the good he did on earth.

He said it was at this point that Jesus appeared to him and revealed to him that he needed to forgive people who wrong him.

"I lifted up from hell and came back on earth and God started to speak to me, I actually saw the real Jesus. He said you have been secretly upset with people that hurt you. You have been hoping that I would punish the people that hurt you. These are not your people, these are my people."

Johnson, the senior pastor of Faith Culture Church in Austin, Texas said his experience is that no matter what good people do on earth, it's what they harbour in their souls that matters to God.

"I don't believe that God sends people to hell. People send themselves to hell and whatever is left inside of you and God has been trying to get out of you and you die with, that's what's going to determine where you go," he said.

He advised people to focus on serving God, do things that have internal significance and avoid doing things that are selfish.
