Stanbic bank has assured its customers that their data is safe after the digital customer channels experienced disruptions on Monday.  

The bank said in a statement that the malfunction affected the mobile banking app, USSD, internet banking, and omni channel.

"We have since restored service on our USSD and omni channel and are working with our service partners to resolve the mobile banking app disruption in the shortest time possible," the bank said in the statement.

"We have contacted the affected customers and would like to assure our customers and the public that their data is safe, as we bring the mobile banking app back online."

The bank apologised for any inconvenience caused to customers and promised to issue timely updates.
