Governor Kawira rescues jobless graduate with employment

The man has been searching for a job for nine years despite having two degrees.

Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has come to the rescue of a jobless graduate who was loitering on the streets begging for a job.

The county boss said she was touched by the young man's plight who she came to learn has been jobless for nine years despite having two degrees.

"A young gentleman by the name Meme Samuel Makamba whose picture went viral showing him seeking a job in the streets with a manilla-inscribed plea pinned to his back, can finally rest assured of job security," Kawira said.

She said Makamba has two degrees and a CPA certificate. 

The first-term governor who recently survived an impeachment attempt by the Meru County Assembly urged fellow leaders to help jobless youth whenever they come across opportunities.

"As leaders, we must look into the welfare of our youth and create opportunities for them to generate income as we work towards diminishing the high rate of unemployment in our country," Kawira said.
