President Ruto on Saturday morning arrived in Kitale for a two-day tour of Trans Nzoia County.
He was received by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula and Trans Nzoia Governor Natembeya among other leaders.
Ruto and Mudavadi shared a moment of laughter after the President greeted the former ANC Party in Luhya language and called him "Omwami".
The President is in Kiatali for the episcopal Ordination and installation of Monsignor Henry Juma Odonya as Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Kitale which is currently happening at the Kitale Showground.
Ove the past few days, Governor Natembeya has been having meetings ahead of the Ruto's visit.
The new bishop was a priest in Eldoret where he was brought before he was appointed by Pope Francis on November 4, 2022 to head Kitale Diocese.
He is replacing Bishop Maurice Crowley who is retiring at the age of 75 years.
