Former Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has said that President William Ruto had offered him a job as a CS but he refused.

Speaking on Thursday at K24, Ngunjiri said that he declined the job offer because he wanted a lesser job.

"It is not a must for me and Arap Kirwa to be in government, because we were not born to be in government and die in government. The President had offered me CS but I refused, I said no, I want a lesser seat," he said.

He said that he is impressed with how the president is running the country.

"To be a President there is a lot of work to be done including balancing the region and putting the country together. He is doing well and I'm happy about that," Ngunjiri said.

The former MP said that he can still contribute to the government even if he is out of office.

Ngunjiri said that he can play a part in making sure that Kenya becomes a good country.

"We can sort out the issue of agriculture which we are experts on that and many other things. We were not just vying to be elected as leaders for the position but also to make Kenya better than how it was," he said.
