Last week, The Senate rejected the impeachment of Governor Mwangaza on the basis that the charges were not substantiated.
In a report tabled by the Committee chairperson Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, it said Meru MCAs had failed to provide enough evidence to back their allegations.
Mwangaza was accused of nepotism, illegal appointments, unlawful dismissal of the constitution and statutory functions of county organs.
She was also accused of appointing her husband Murega Baicu as the Hustlers Ambassador and Youth Patron alongside other roadside appointments of county workers.
The relationship between the Governor and Meru leaders especially the MCAs had taken a left turn .
Things escalated to a level where the MCAs walked out on Mwangaza as she delivered her first speech while opening the third county assembly.
Mwangaza had called on President William Ruto and Gachagua to intervene in the Meru wrangles.
DP Gachagua then gave his assurance that together with the President, they will hold a meeting with Meru leadership.
Also , Ruto asked the MCAs to organise themselves and lead the county in an appropriate manner.
