Kiambu Senator Karungo Thangwa has dismissed as unnecessary and a waste of time threats by Bumula MP Jack Wamboka to table an impeachment motion against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Defending the DP, Thangwa called on politicians to use their positions in a respectable manner and stop misusing them for self gains.
"Viongozi tuliochaguliwa, hii serikali ya William Ruto ni ya heshima si ya kujigamba ama kujipiga unaoana mtu anaongea kidogo ati we will impeach you," Thangwa said.
He continued, "Nani amekuambia unapendwa sana? Si raiya tu nafasi ya kukutoa wamekosa, si hata wewe wakitaka kukutoa watakutoa mara hiyo?"
The senator reminded legislators behind the plots that they have no business pursuing to have leaders impeached but instead stick to the Constitutional mandates they were elected to perform.
Thagwa made the remarks at the home of Cooperatives and MSME Development Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui at Kisanana, Baringo where 81 young men recently went through the rite of passage.
"Wewe haukuwekwa pale ndani ukawatoe wengine waliochaguliwa na raiya na Mungu, tuheshimiane and tuwafanyie raiya kazi," he stated.
