ICT CS Eliud Owalo on Friday launched government-sponsored free public WiFi in Bondo township to serve local residents and traders.
Owalo said the initiative is aimed at enabling communication services, promoting E-commerce and enhancing connectivity among other benefits.
"I'm confident that the residents of Bondo will take advantage of this facility to improve their livelihoods," Owalo said.
The CS was accompanied by Bondo Deputy County Commissioiner Julius Otieno, Bondo MP Gedion Ochanda, ICTA chairman Frederick Owino and Lake Basin Development Authority chairman Dianga Waore.
Other leaders including area MCAs Tabu Osewe, Oliver Arika and Simon Angule and Bondo Market chairman Joseph Okumu were also present.
