Tinderet MP Julius Melly, who is also the education committee chair, said the lawmakers have found themselves being dragged into the recruitment process.

"Even this morning I am one of the people who has been asked by my constituents why am not calling them for a meeting," Melly said.

TSC CEO Nancy Macharia clarified that no MP is involved in the hiring process.

"We are saying clearly that MPs have no role. It's being done by TSC, right from headquarters to the ward level," Macharia said.

This comes after some MPs came across messages inviting different individuals to meet at certain places.

Kabondo Kasipul MP Eve Obarra raised the concerns saying MPs are under fire to respond to those messages.

"What it was saying is that all teachers who have not been recruited to appear before a certain place," Obara said/

Obara noted that the information was creating an impression that there's preferential treatment during the recruitment
