5-minute interview: Surprising thing that happened to me is being a father — ex-Senator Isaac Mwaura

I'm very bad at...…lying 

The last book I enjoyed reading is............. Dare to win by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen. It is a very good book.

The most surprising thing that happened to me is...............becoming a father. I love it

One of my worst childhood fears was................ that I would not make it in life.

I wish people would take more notice of.................. the value in other people and the wisdom that comes from what they have discerned from their own personal experiences. I think it is amazing. People have very profound things to say but we don't listen as much we don't take time.

My ideal night out is.................  with some non-alcoholic drink, some good nice music in a relatively quiet place away from the noise. With a good friend having a good time.

In moments of weakness............ I pray

In another life, I would have been................. What I am today

If I was not a politician, ................. I would have been a preacher

The best age to be is................. 20s

The best part of my job is.................. Making a difference in people's lives and changing the World in small ways because incrementally they grow to be bigger things.

In a nutshell, my philosophy is................. Leadership invariably has the capacity to transform society. The success of the future does not lie in the near passage of time but in the little changes we make today here and now.

My idea of perfect happiness is................. Living in the perfect will of God, for me, is the perfect happiness.

Living people I most admire.................Wow! Barack Obama without a doubt, that is in politics. President William Ruto. By the way, I think he's a hero. He has achieved the impossible.  And I'm not saying this for political correctness. I mean it, he's a great inspiration, he is my hero.

My greatest regret is................. Sometimes I feel I have missed opportunities in one way or another. There are missed opportunities here and there because maybe I made the wrong decision.

My favourite author is................. Francis Fukuyama, I find him brilliant because he has been able to analyse the origin of political order. He is brilliant in terms of the political economy of the world system of organisational politics.

One thing that I would change about myself is................. I wish I would be less trusted. I'm the kind of guy who dives into it. When I believe in something I will go for it.

If I was to die in five minutes, my last words would be................. do your best without caring about what people say because they will speak anyway and help somebody, make a difference.
