Squid Game actor O Yeong-su has been accused of sexual misconduct for allegedly touching a woman inappropriately.

South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reports that prosecutors indicted the 78-year-old O without detention on Thursday over an allegation that he inappropriately touched a woman in mid-2017.

The news agency added that the case dates back to December 2021 when the alleged victim filed a complaint against the actor.

It said police closed the case in April without charging the Golden Globe Awards winner but the prosecution reopened investigations later at the complainant's request.

O, the best TV supporting actor at the 2022 Golden Globe Awards for his role in "Squid Game" reportedly denied the charges during the prosecution's investigation.
