Hongera! Raila Junior congratulates Winnie on EALA win

Raila Odinga Jnr has congratulated his sister Winnie Odinga for winning a slot at the East Africa Legislative Assembly.

In a statement shortly after the announcement on Thursday, Jnr posted a congratulatory message on Twitter.

"Congratulations to my sister Hon. Winnie Irmgard Odinga as the new EALA MP representing Kenya. Hongera," he said.

Winnie bagged 247 votes in the elections conducted by the National Assembly and the Senate.

She is one of four members who will represent Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance at the regional assembly.

The others are Kennedy Kalonzo (262), Suleiman Shahbal (181)and Kanini Kega (197).

Kenya Kwanza also elected five candidates to EALA. 

They are Hassan Omar, David Sankok, Zipporah Kering, Mwangi Maina and Iman Falhada.
