Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai now says the viral Kenya Medical Training College nurse Elizabeth Robai Lukelesia should be left to do her work.

In a statement on Monday, Alai regretted that Robai has been turned into an "idling socialite" and taken away from her duties as a nurse.

"She was innocently taking care of the ill and performing a function few can handle. Now she has been turned like the idling socialite to be roaming around influencing for all kinds of struggling businesses," he said.

"Hey @Natembeya_G, she is better taking care of the very sick kids."

The politician had posted photos of Robai standing outside a spa in Nairobi, where she is holding a bouquet.

The nurse came to the limelight after a video of her dancing to a sick boy was widely shared on Twitter and Tik Tok.

Robai was dancing to the kid's popular tune Baby Shark, entertaining the boy who was admitted to the Kitale level IV hospital ward.

She was recognized by the Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, who hosted her at his office at the county headquarters to formally thank her for her gesture.

Natembeya congratulated her, pointing out that her kindness had paid off.

"I have pledged to offset her tuition fees for the remaining period of her studies, further ensure she gets an internship and finally be absorbed to serve as a pediatric nurse," he said.
