An auctioneer accused of evicting an Asian family from their Westlands property has been ordered to appear in court on Wednesday for sentencing.
Justice Oscar Angote found Zachariah Baraza of Siuma Auctioneers to be in contempt of court orders issued by a lower court on October 18 and November 1.
The judge said Baraza abused the powers he has and evicted the family without express orders of the court.
"He disobeyed the orders of the lower courts by cutting away the household goods. The orders of November 1 expressly prohibited him from evicting those on the property," he said.
Baraza will now be required to appear in court on Wednesday at 2.30pm for mitigation and sentencing.
