Miguna: I was waiting for Raila, Wanjigi when I got arrested

Lawyer Miguna Miguna has disclosed that when he was arrested in 2018, he was at his Runda home waiting for Raila Odinga and his then ally Jimi Wanjigi.

He said that only the three of them know what they had planned to do on that day. The three had planned to meet at 8 O'clock.

"The day I was arrested from my house, I was waiting for Raila to come but instead police came. I was waiting for him and Wanjigi, they know what we had planned to do," Miguna said.

Miguna's arrest in 2018 following the mock swearing in of Raila Odinga at Uhuru Park in Nairobi, in which he administered the oath.

The arrest saw him remain in forced exile in Canada for almost five years.

The vocal lawyer made several attempts to get back into the country but was barred by the red alerts enforced against him.

In 2021, Court orders instructing he be allowed back into the country were ignored by Uhuru's regime.

The alerts were however lifted after Ruto took power, allowing him back.

He returned to Kenya on October 20.
