First Lady Rachel Ruto has asked leaders to encourage women and youth groups to take advantage of the Hustlers Fund to be launched later in the year.

Speaking at Kamagut Africa Inland Church (AIC) in Uasin Gishu County during a thanksgiving service, the First Lady said whereas the majority of those who contribute to socio-economic development are women and youth, there is a need to empower them through capacity building.

"As we prepare to receive the Hustlers Fund, there is a need to prepare our people through capacity building so that they can come up with business ventures to benefit from the money," she said.

Rachel also called for teamwork among leaders in addressing challenges facing the country.

She said the country's current hard economic hardships, famine ravaging some parts of the country and environmental challenges require collective responsibility in solving them.
