A 30-year-old man was stabbed and seriously injured before being robbed of Sh200,000 in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area.

The victim told police he is an attendant at a local shop and that he was walking home last night when he was confronted by armed men who demanded cash and his mobile phone.

They then stabbed him in the stomach before they grabbed the cash and his mobile phone before escaping aboard a salon car. Police are looking for the gang of six behind the incident.

Along the Expressway in the city, two staff members of the facility said they were attacked and robbed of cash and mobile phones as they walked to their place of work near the Parliament Buildings area.

They said the attackers were riding on a motorcycle when they struck on Wednesday night.

The attacks come in the wake of increased deployment of undercover detectives in the city, as police take steps to destabilise criminal gangs that regroup after the general election.
