Lawyer Miguna Miguna has said he will be arriving in Kenya on Thursday and his family and Kisumu residents can't wait to see him.
They could not hold their joy as they await the arrival of their son after more than a four-year wait.
Speaking in an interview on Wednesday, Miguna's brother Erick Ondiek Miguna said they are very happy that the red alerts were lifted.
"We were very pleased when he alerted us that he has been issued with his passport and the red alerts that were placed on him were lifted and he was allowed to come back," he said.
Ondiek said some of his sons and his sisters will travel to Nairobi to meet Miguna at the airport.
The Government of @WilliamsRuto and @rigathi has LIFTED the Red Alerts despot Uhuru Kenyatta and his GOONS ILLEGALLY imposed against me with the CONNIVANCE of conman @RailaOdinga. My Arrival: October 20 at 6 AM. The Rule of Law, fearlessness, persistence and focus have prevailed.

He said they can't wait to see him as he has missed so many events while away and had to familiarize himself with everything.
"Everybody is pleased that he will be coming because so many things happened in his absence when he was forced out of the country, we lost so many people, he told us he would like to see those funerals when he comes back," he said.
He thanked the government for allowing Miguna to jet back to the country after years of being away.
"We would only want to thank the government of Kenya for allowing him to come back after a long time which has always been our prayer. I also thank President William Ruto for allowing him back," he said.
"We felt pain when he was forced out of the country but we forgive those who were responsible," he added.
Miguna has been tweeting about his arrival from Canada since the red alerts were lifted on October 12.

Ramathan, a resident of Kisumu said he was happy when he heard Miguna was coming from back from Canada.
"We have waited for him for long," he said.
On October 12, the government lifted red alerts imposed on Miguna four years ago.
The lawyer made the revelation on Wednesday saying he will now travel back to Kenya on October 20.
"The government of William Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua has lifted the Red Alerts Uhuru Kenyatta illegally imposed against me with the connivance of Raila Odinga," he said.
