Public Service, Gender and Affirmative Action Cabinet secretary nominee Aisha Jumwa appeared before MPs for vetting.

Dressed in a black dress and a pink blazer, she defended her KCSE D- grades saying she is a role model to Kenyans that they too can get a high position in government despite low grades.

Jumwa said if she gets approved, she will ensure policies enacted will benefit both genders.

The nominated CS said that since her nomination she has learned three things: Dignified silence, high level of tolerance and restraint.
