The National Police Service Commission has advertised the vacancy for the post of Director General of Directorate of Criminal Investigation.

The commission is seeking to replace George Kinoti who resigned on Tuesday. 

In a statement on Thursday, commission chairperson Eliud Kinuthia said interested candidates have seven days to apply for the position before the October 6 deadline. 

"Applicants must be citizens of Kenya, hold a degree from a recognized university,10 years experience in management and proven knowledge in criminal investigations and policing and meet requirements for chapter six of Constitution of Kenya 2010,” Kinuthia said.

He further said interested applicants must be holders of a degree, have ten years work experience and proven knowledge of criminal investigations.
