[PHOTOS] Rescue operation ongoing as Kiambu building collapses

Two people are feared dead and others injured after a building collapsed at Kirigiti Shopping Centre in Kiambu on Monday.

Rescue operations are underway. Police said they have removed two bodies from the rubble and rescued seven others.

The house collapsed on a residential house below it trapping some of those who were there.

There were combined efforts from the Kiambu County Fire & Disaster Management Department, Kenya Defence Forces, Kenya Red Cross, Kenya Police and volunteers.

Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi was present to ensure the rescue operations is well coordinated.
