Police arrested one man during the Azimio protest on Monday in Nairobi.

Azimio leaders and supporters protested the move by the electoral agency to interdict the IEBC Deputy CEO Ruth Kulundu.

The man was roughed up by police in plain clothes before being arrested and taken to the police vehicle.

The protest caused tension at the Independent and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) headquarters and left people stranded.

Others were denied entry to denied entry at one of the entry points of Anniversary Towers.

Police on Monday morning were forced to fire tear gas at Azimio supporters to disperse them.
