Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has told President William Ruto not to waste time anymore in forming his government.

He said the President is weak without his cabinet adding that it is time to get rid of former President Uhuru Kenyatta's government.

"For the Nth time: It doesn't go wrong. It starts wrong. Ruto should purge the government and form his own," he tweeted on Monday.

He added:

"After the bandit attack, he will attract terror attack. He is fragile but arrogant. We need a Ruto Government. NOW. The urgency is loud."

On Saturday, 11 people were killed in a bandit attack in Kakiteiteu village in Turkana East sub-county.

The victims include eight police officers, a local chief and two civilians who succumbed to the injuries inflicted on them by the assailants.

The deceased persons were ambushed as they pursued heavily armed bandits suspected to be from the neighbouring Baringo county.

Ruto said he will name his CSs soon.

He is expected to address his first parliamentary sitting on Thursday.

Speaking to a local TV on September 18, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua said CSs and Principal Secretaries' appointments would take to about two weeks.

"I don't think the president wants to appoint the Cabinet Secretaries without the Principal Secretaries. I'm not sure of the time but I'd say like two weeks so Kenyans should be patient,” he said.
