President William Ruto has called on increased business cooperation between Kenya and the USA.
Speaking during the Kenya Executive Business Roundtable in New York , Ruto said his administration will focus on creating a conducive and enabling business environment.
"My focus area is to spur domestic and foreign direct investments to create jobs and wealth," he said.
The President is currently in New York for the 77th edition of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
On Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed that Ruto will hold bilateral talks with several Heads of State and government.
“Participation at the highest level in the UNGA is particularly important for Kenya as the country seeks to complete the second year of its non-permanent membership to the United Nations Security Council,” read a statement from the ministry.
He is expected to deliver Kenya’s National Statement at the Assembly on Wednesday at 9pm.
The President will also chair a meeting of the Conference of African Heads of State on Climate Crisis (CAHOSCC).
