Council of governors congratulate Ruto, asks him to protect devolution

The Council of Governors has congratulated President-elect William Ruto after the Supreme Court upheld his win on Monday.

In a statement, the council said it hopes Ruto will protect devolution.

"As you take up the leadership of this country, it is our hope that you will uphold and protect devolution an its elements throughout your tenure," the council said.

"May the Almighty God guide you and as you endevour to serve the people of Kenya and fulfill your vision for this country," the council said in a statement signed by CoG CEO Mary Mwiti.
