Lurambi MP Titus Khamala has taunted Cotu secretary general Francis Atwoli over Azimio la Umoja's presidential loss.
In a video doing rounds on social media, the legislator who has a penchant for theatrics is heard daring Atwoli to maintain the same public prominence and energy like prior to the August 9 general elections.
"Baba Atwoli, wherever you are, toka nje (come outside) be fearless Baba Atwoli," Khamala says amid laughter.
The Cotu boss is a fierce critic of President-elect William Ruto and had prior to the presidential elections said the DP would not be on the ballot.
Atwoli was quoted severally in various media fora saying he didn't know who would be president after the 2022 polls but he was certain it wouldn't be Ruto.
"Na tusitishwe! tusitishwe! (And let's not be intimidated)," Atwoli would cap his statements, adding that many of Ruto's supporters would break their radios and TVs when ODM leader Raila Odinga wins the presidency.
The DP, however, won the elections with over 7.1 million votes, beating Raila who managed to get over 6.9 million votes in the hotly contested polls.
The Azimio presidential candidate has however disputed the results saying they were falsified and moved to the Supreme Court seeking to overturn Ruto's win.
In the clip, Khamala told Atwoli not to fear anyone like he repeatedly used to say and come out in the open.
Atwoli has rarely been seen in public since the elections save for when he accompanied the Azimio team at the Supreme Court registry in Milimani as they filed their petition on Monday.
"Baba Atwoli, msitishwe. Toka nje... Wengi watavunja radio zao, watavunja TV zao... They will not believe," Khamala said, imitating Atwoli.
"Get out of your hiding, we need you out here," he said.
Khamala, a bishop, retained his seat in a contest that attracted six candidates.
The MP garnered 32,309 votes to win the race with the second in the race, Timothy Vikiru Bunyali managing a paltry 9,342 votes.
