Wajir favours Raila over Ruto

ODM leader Raila Odinga has trounced his rivals in Wajir West Constituency.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission said Raila got 15,045 votes.

His UDA opponent William Ruto came in second with 6,369 votes.

George Wajackoyah of Roots garnered 57 votes as his Agano Party counterpart David Mwaure got 16.

IEBC said the constituency had 31,334 registered voters.

The valid votes were 21,487 while 82 votes were rejected.

So far, the commission has released 244 verified presidential results.
