Presidential election petitions are to be filed at the Supreme Court Sub-Registry at domiciled at Forodha House, Nairobi.

This is according to a statement released on Monday by the Registrar of Supreme Court L M Wachira.

"Take notice should any Presidential Election Petition be filed, the same shall be filed exclusively at the Supreme Court Sub-Register located at Forodha House adjacent to Milimani Law Courts along Upper Hill Close Road," Wachira said.

He also advised the public, advocates and litigants to keep the stipulated time.

The Supreme Court Presidential Election Petition Rules of 2017 under Rule 7(3) stipulates that petitions be filed before 2pm of the last available day.

UDA candidate William Ruto was on Monday declared president-elect having got 50.29 per cent of votes.

In the second place came Azimio's Raila Odinga with 48.85 per cent.

Roots' party leader George Wajackoyah came in third followed by David Mwaure of Agano Party.
