Presidential candidates signed peace pledge pact

The agreements were signed during Political Decency and Accountability Forum 2022 held at KICC.

The four presidential candidates signed the peace pledge to commit to upholding peace before, during and after elections on July, 11,2022.

United Democratic Alliance candidate William Ruto, Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga, Agano leader Mwaure Waihiga and Roots Party’s George Wajackoyah signed the Leadership and Peace Pledge by Mkenya Daima and the National Cohesion and Integration Commission’s Political Decency and Peace Charter.

The charter binds the candidates, political parties and supporters to a peaceful election and accountable leadership before, during and after the elections.

The agreements were signed during the Political Decency and Accountability Forum 2022 held at KICC, Nairobi.
