Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga is leading in Embakasi East constituency, Nairobi county, IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati has said.

Raila garnered 53,982 votes while UDA presidential candidate William Ruto got 30,976 votes.

David Waihiga of the Agano Party got 271 votes while Roots Party flag-bearer George Wajackoyah had 388 votes.

The IEBC chairman said there were 154,599 registered voters in the constituency.

The total valid votes cast were 85,623 while 492 votes were rejected.

IEBC will also verify diaspora votes before releasing the final tally.
