IEBC receives 87.55 per cent of forms 34A

Chebukati says the results can only be transmitted once

County returning officers are still transmitting their forms 34A to the national tallying centre.

The number of forms 34A submitted as at 0242hrs on August 10 are 40,472 of 46,229, which brings the total to 87.55 per cent. 

This is according to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.

While addressing the media during the launching of the national tallying centre on Tuesday, the IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati said they will verify the Form 34A images with the physical documents.

Chebukati also said that the results can only be transmitted once.

"You cannot scan results from a different polling station. Once you scan the final results, no one can scan it again," he said.
