NTSA Likoni center to close for 3 days as Kenyans vote

The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has announced a temporary closure of the Likoni center.

In a statement released on Friday, NTSA said the Likoni Road Motor vehicle inspection center will be closed from August 8 to August 10 for elections.

The decision came after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) gazetted it as a polling station.

"This is to notify the Public that the NTSA Likoni Road Motor vehicle inspection center has been designated as a polling station in Starehe Constituency, Nairobi County," the statement reads.

"As a result, the Likoni Road Motor vehicle inspection center will be inaccessible to clients from August 8 to 10, 2022," it adds.

The Authority said it will notify the public once services resume.

Nairobi County has 2,251,929 registered voters.

Starehe has 141,878 voters, from the five wards including, Nairobi South, Pangani, Ngara, Landimawe and Nairobi Central.

Starehe's tallying center will be at Jamhuri High School.

Moi International Sports Centre at Kasarani will be Nairobi’s main tallying station.
