Mudavadi decamped to Kenya Kwanza on January 23. He claimed that he ditched the One Kenya Alliance because it was being pushed to work with Azimio.

"There was a belief that OKA was to be strung along and made to work with one of the political camps – Azimio. But all I can tell you is that I have stood my ground and made my mind," he said.

The two leaders (Raila and Mudavadi), fell out after the 2017 general elections.

Mudavadi was one of the NASA principals, alongside Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula.
