Ruto breaks into tears during prayer meeting

DP claimed that Kenya was facing a spiritual battle that could only be won through the prayers of those who believe.

Deputy President William Ruto on Tuesday was carried away by emotions as he hosted a prayer meeting in his Karen residence.

During praise and worship sessions, Ruto is seen getting into a prayerful mood as tears flow freely down his cheeks.

At one point, the DP is seen putting his hands on his face as he blinks with watery eyes, which could indicate he was fighting back tears.

Ruto was standing next to his wife, Rachel Ruto as they both joined other people in a prayer meeting presided by Bishop Mark Kariuki.

While giving vote of thanks, the DP thanked God for the presidential journey he started.

Ruto said that his team was grateful as they had seen God’s hand throughout the journey. He said they endured and overcome many challenges on the way.

We want every Kenyan to pray for peace because we want to cast our votes in peace and eventually the will of God will prevail,” Ruto said.

We want to ask you to continue to pray for us and for the peace of the country... There are people who would want to disrupt the peace of our country,” he added.
