Kenya Kwanza's running mate Rigathi Gachagua has divulged that he suffered for refusing to abandon Deputy President William Ruto.

Gachagua said a fabricated court case imposed on him saw him dragged in front of his wife and workers.

The UDA deputy Presidential candidate also claimed his arrest was fueled by his refusal to toe the line.

"Even after sending 200 police to arrest me in Nyeri and drag me in front of wife and workers took me to Nairobi, lock me for 4 days, one and a half years later, not a shred of evidence that is why the case has not taken off," he said.

He was responding to a question on his pending court case in which he is accused of doing business with the county government.

"I said I worked with the Ministry of Land, so you cannot say there is a conflict of interest in Nyeri, I did this business long before the government came into place," he said.
