Some areas of the Highlands east and west of the Rift Valley, and Coast are likely to continue having rains this week.

This is according to the latest forecast.

Over the Highlands east of the Rift Valley, some areas of the South-eastern lowlands, the Highlands west of the Rift Valley, and the Central and South Rift Valley, cold, cloudy conditions with sporadic light rains are predicted.

"The remainder of the country is anticipated to be largely dry," Kenya Met Department said in a Monday statement.

Met predicted that the country as a whole will experience moderate daytime temperatures (maximum), ranging from 20 to 35 degrees Celsius.

The Highlands east of the Rift Valley is likely to experience low nighttime temperatures (minimum), which is less than 10 degrees Celsius.

Maximum temperatures are likely to be as high as 30 degrees Celsius in parts of Kilifi, Lamu, Garissa, Turkana, Samburu, Marsabit and Wajir.

They are likely to be as low as 17 degree Celsius in parts Tharaka Nithi, Meru, Nyandarua, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Embu, Murang'a, Kiambu, Nairobi, Machakos and Makueni.

Minimum temperatures (daytime) are expected to be as low as eight degrees Celsius in parts of Murang'a, Kirinyaga and Nyeri, and as high as 25 degrees Celsius in parts of Turkana County.
