President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to host the Sagana IV meeting.
It is during that meeting he will implore the Mt Kenya region to back his preferred presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
The president has earlier had such meetings before and he used them to make unity calls.
With less than 24 days to the August polls, Uhuru will be expected to appoint or give a hint of the next successor of the region considering he is headed to retirement.
The previous Sagana meetings have elicited sharp reactions and debates owing to the contents of the president's speech.
