After landing in Nyeri on Tuesday, they will tour Kirinyaga on Wednesday and Kiambu on Thursday.
The ODM leader will hold town hall meetings with local leaders, including professionals, and rallies to woo the restive Mt Kenya region.
On Wednesday, the Azimio brigade will pitch camp in Kirinyaga, Karua's home county.
This is the first time Raila is visiting Karua's backyard since he nominated the Narc Kenya boss as his running mate.
The visit comes barely days after Raila took Karua to his Nyanza backyard, where they rallied the region to support their bid.
Mt Kenya MCAs caucus chairman Charles Ng'ang'a told the Star on Monday that they will "easily bag at least 30 per cent of the region's voters, something that was not possible before Karua was nominated".
Ng'ang'a said Raila and Karua's numerous inroads in the region had gained results as the ground had shifted.
Karua’s nomination, he said, has brought into sharp focus the gender card and the quest for a big slice of half of the country’s voters–women, he added.
“Karua effect is heard and people seem to love Raila in Mt Kenya because of Karua and within the few days, they are determined to lock what they have gained and that's why they are making the numerous trips,” he said.
The Mt Kenya tour will end on Thursday, when the Azimio bigwigs will plead their case to the populous Kiambu county.
Kiambu is the country's second-most populous county in terms of voters, giving it huge political significance in the State House battle.
It has 1,275,008 voters, the second-highest per county after Nairobi metropolitan area with 2,415,310.
The tour is expected to quell the zoning politics that seem to have divided the Azimio team in the Mt Kenya region.
None of the Mt Kenya politicians in Azimio has agreed to step down for their opponents.
Ng'ang'a said the Azimio tour will help candidates within the coalition to develop a strategy of dropping those who aren’t popular to boost their chances of winning.
Those expected in the rallies include Ngunjiri Wambugu (Nyeri Town MP), Priscilla Nyokabi (ex-Nyeri Woman Rep), Sabina Chege (Murang'a Woman Rep), Agriculture CS Peter Munya, Mwea MP Kabinga Wachira, Kirinyaga Central MP Munene Wambugu, Kieni MP Kanini Kega and other Jubilee aspirants.
In Kiambu, Raila will be accompanied by Governor James Nyoro, Gladys Chania (Woman Rep aspirant), Kago wa Lydia (MP Githunguri), George Maara (Senate aspirant) and Jude Njomo (Kiambu MP), among others.
The meeting comes against the backdrop of heightened political campaigns by the two front runners, who are both eyeing a share of the Mt Kenya vote bloc.
From Mt Kenya, the ODM boss heads to Kakamega turf for a two-day campaign tour beginning Friday.
Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo told the Star that anyone is allowed to traverse any part of the country to meet their supporters.
Kabogo, who is seeking to recapture the governor seat on Tujibebe Wakenya Party, said it was a democratic right for Raila to visit Mt Kenya and should be accorded the respect he deserves.
“We only need peace after the August election,” Kabogo said.
Kikuyu Council of Elders national chairman Wachira Kiago echoed Kabogo's sentiments on peace.
Wachira termed Raila as the 'saviour' of Mt Kenya and rallied Kenyans to support his bid.
“We are fully behind Raila and Karua and nothing will stop them from succeeding Uhuru Kenyatta,” Wachira said.
Political analyst Albert Kasembeli said Raila is now focused on traversing all the counties that Ruto’s running mate Rigathi Gachagua campaigned in two weeks ago.
He said the sole aim is to neutralise the gains made by Gachagua.
Gachagua was heckled after he attacked Raila during a rally in Githunguri.
Some of those who attended the rally accused him of disrespecting President Kenyatta and Raila.
“Raila is becoming smart every day, he has let Karua concentrate her effort in Mt Kenya and they are neutralising the gains made by Gachagua and Ruto,” Kasembeli said.
On Monday, Karua traversed Nakuru and was hosted by Governor Lee Kinyanjui.
She campaigned in Mwisho wa Lami, Likia, Mauche, Mau Narok, Stoo Mbili and Naishi among other towns.
Gachagua was in Nakuru town last week and drummed support for DP Ruto.
