Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has weighed in on the reports that a number of leaders are facing probe over the validity of their academic papers.

The MP on Saturday took issues with authorities for always 'harassing' him over his academic papers yet he is not the only leader with questionable certificates.

Sudi, who was seemingly speaking in jest, said the issue of academic papers has now exposed that many leaders are just like him.

"Simumeona wale watu hawajasoma ni wengi. Mungu amefungua barabara. Sasa ata hatujui nani hana. Hawa watu wamekua wakinitesa tuu pekee yangu kotini na kumbe hawa watu ni wengi. Hawa watu wote ni flat,"Sudi said.

At the same meeting, Sudi defended himself yet again saying he is learned.

He was speaking at his home in the Kapseret constituency where he met with over 500o members of the Abaluhya community.

The MP has been facing a legal battle over his KCSE certificate which he claimed he possesses.

Sudi is reported to have said that he sat for KCSE exams at Highway secondary school.

Former Highway principal Patrick Maritim, however, told the court that Sudi was never a student at his school.

Maritim in May confirmed the earlier testimony of an official from the Kenya National Examinations Council that Sudi did not register or sit for the 2006 examination.

He told magistrate Felix Kombo that Sudi’s name did not appear anywhere in the school's register when he was the principal.

Maritim said Sudi’s name did not appear in the register and index 81, which Sudi allegedly forged, belonged to Nicholas Otieno.

“The KCSE certificate is normally obtained from Knec. The student will then come and sign that it has been collected. And from the records, it does not show Sudi sat for KCSE at Highway Secondary School,” the witness said.

In the case, Sudi had been charged with forging a diploma certificate in Business Management from the Kenya Institute of Management.
