Ford Kenya Party Leader Moses Wetang'ula has said that the Kenya Kwanza government will have zero tolerance for discrimination.

Speaking in Kasarani during the launch of the Kenya Kwanza manifesto, Wetang'ula said any society, Kenya included, and more particularly Kenya Kwanza will be judged on the manner it treats and handles disadvantaged people.

He said these include people living with disabilities, minorities, women who have been neglected for a long time by punitive laws and the youths who have been discriminated against.

“Kenya Kwanza will have a deliberate, positive affirmative action in every respect to ensure that those who have been left behind because of historical prejudices and injustices are lifted to a level where they feel part of Kenya. Whether you are an Ilchamus or whichever tribe,” he said.

The Bungoma Senator who is a co-principal in the Kenya Kwanza Coalition said Kenya has migrant minorities or some people become minorities because their numbers don’t march with the majority communities.

He said Kenya has enacted good laws to take care of the interests of the minorities.

“We have enough provisions in the constitution, what has been lacking is the will to enforce and implement the law. Kenya Kwanza will have zero tolerance to discrimination of whatever form in whatever manner against anybody,” he said.

He praised Kenya Kwanza leader Deputy President William Ruto for the “Superb delivery of the manifesto”
