In a recent interview with Presenter Ali, Akothee said she charges a huge amount of money as she brings value.
"I wouldn't lie to you but I think I am the number-one earning artiste in Kenya right now," she said.
Earlier on, Akothee had said that she does not take less than Sh1 million to perform on stage.
"Some artistes collect petty cash for a performance, curtain-raising for artistes from outside the country in the name of being given a platform," she said.
On being a role model to young girls, Akothee said all that matters is she has raised five responsible children.
"You see me not actually being a role model to someone. I'm only responsible to five children that I gave birth to," she said.
"I am proud to say that my children are well behaved even more than me, because I gave them a proper foundation."
"When people say Akothee can't be my role model, I mean please! Start by your mother; follow your mum and do and articulate the things that your mother does."
She said most people relate to her story.
"Most women associate with my story. My story is a living testimony and I am one of the artistes who don't do show-offs. I don't do scandals. If they catch me, they catch me as a human being because life is for the living!" she said.
Early this month, Akothee launched her book, 'Akothee Quotes', and an EP, 'Akothee The Lioness'.
