The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance will not contest the August polls in the event they lose, Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe has said.

In an interview with NTV on Wednesday morning, Murathe said they will not hold protests because of an election loss.

"We will not go shouting that it was rigged unless there are glaring issues of manipulation by the IEBC," Murathe said.

The Jubilee vice-chair said their flagbearer Raila Odinga is a seasoned politician who has stomached several losses adding that the August 9, one is not a do or die for him.

Without mentioning names, he lashed out at Deputy President William Ruto saying he has fashioned the coming polls as a must-win for him.

"It is not a must for Raila to win, on the contrary. It is some individuals who are threatening others that you have to vote in a certain way for peace to prevail," Murathe revealed.

He divulged that maintaining peace before, during and after the election is a priority for the Azimio coalition in its bid to enhance the economic stability of the country.

Murathe is one of the vocal Mt Kenya leaders who have endorsed the ODM leader for the top seat.

The Jubilee Vice-Chair has been an ardent critic of DP Ruto who he has accused numerous times of abdicating his duties to work on his political ambitions.
