Electronic appliances that were stolen from a house during an armed robbery in Ongata Rongai last Sunday have been recovered.

The recovery comes just a day after detectives recovered a pistol, cash and clothing items worn by the thugs who executed the robbery early Sunday at a woman's house.

Four suspects linked to the incident are in custody and are assisting the police with further investigations.

On Thursday, the police said other than the pistol, detectives had recovered electronic appliances that the attackers carted away

"In addition to earlier recoveries made, including one pistol and items of clothing, household electronic appliances have also been recovered," police said in a tweet.

"We salute the officers involved in the operation for their diligence and commitment to the task. We also appreciate members of the public for cooperating with law enforcement in the course of investigations," the police added.

The National Police Service says suspects in custody will be arraigned once the investigations are concluded.

However, a prime suspect believed to be the ringleader of the six-man gang that perpetrated Sunday's attack is still at large.

He's believed to be a former rogue police officer.
