Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday lashed out at his Kenya Kwanza counterpart William Ruto over vote-rigging claims.
Speaking during a campaign trail at Machinery town in Makueni County, Raila said Ruto should stop crying foul and ready himself for defeat.
"Nimesikia huyo jama wa tangatanga (Ruto) analia kuna njama ya kuiba kura. Ati ooh 'kura yangu imeibiwa'. Atii ooh wamebadilisha wapiga kura,"Raila said.
"Kura yako (Ruto) iko wapii? Yeye Tayari ameshaona dalili ya kwamba anaenda Kushindwa."
This loosely translates to, " I have heard Ruto crying foul that there is a plot to rig elections. He saying his votes have been rigged. He again said voters have been interchanged. Where is your (Ruto) vote? He has already seen the signs that he is going to lose ".
The ODM leader exuded confidence that he will elbow Ruto in the August elections.
Raila said he enjoys the support of many Kenyans adding that he is sure he will emerge victorious.
He pegged his agenda on fighting diseases, illiteracy and poverty.
His remarks come two weeks after the UDA leader claimed that nearly a million voters from his strongholds have been deleted from the IEBC register.
"You (EU envoys) have seen in the media that there was an attempt to obliterate names from the IEBC register and almost 800,000 names have somehow disappeared from the registers. It is in the public domain and I think even the IEBC has said they are doing remedial steps,” Ruto said during a meeting with the European Union at Karen.
the IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati dismissed the claims as baseless adding that all voter data is accounted for.
“Let's not talk about one million names missing, there is no such a thing, it is not there."
